My Last Three Reads📚🌟
Three books. Three completely different reading experiences. Here's my honest, spoiler-free review of The Daisy Chain Flower Shop, Wild Card, and Birds of a Feather, along with my ratings and final thoughts.
One of my favorite things about reading is how every book leaves you with a different feeling. Some make you smile from beginning to end, some test your patience before winning you over, and others completely throw you for a loop. These last three books definitely took me on a ride!
🌻Daisy Chain Flower Shop by Laurie Gilmore🌻
This book was exactly what I needed. If you love small-town romances with lovable characters, cozy vibes, and just enough of a twist to keep things interesting, you'll probably enjoy this one as much as I did. This book is number six out of the series and i recommend reading all of them.
It was sweet, heartwarming, and one of those books that leaves you with a smile long after you've finished the last page. Sometimes you just need a story that feels like a warm hug, and this one delivered.
🃏♥️Wild Card by Elsie Silver♠️♣️
This one was definitely a slow burn... and I mean slow.
There were moments where I found myself wanting the story to move a little faster, but once things started coming together, I understood why so many people love Elsie Silver's books.
The chemistry builds over time, with lots of obstacles that come up, there's a little spice sprinkled throughout, and by the end I was glad I stuck with it. This one is also a last book in a series and I’d recommend them all if you just want to read something that will have happy endings.
🐦⬛Birds of a Feather by Kate Stewart💔
Where do I even begin...
If you've read the Ravenhood series & the Ravenhood Legacy series, you already know to expect the unexpected. This book picks up the story, but I'll be honest… It took me a while to settle into it. The beginning left me feeling a little confused and overwhelmed, and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to finish it.
Then little by little, the pieces started falling into place...only for the book to leave me hanging right when the book came to an end.
Without giving anything away, Tyler turned out to be very different than I expected. There were moments that completely caught me off guard, and at times it almost felt like information overload. Even though it wasn't my favorite book in the series, I'm completely invested now because I have to know what happens next.
Let's just say Kate Stewart definitely knows how to keep readers coming back for more.
Final Thoughts
These three books couldn't have been more different, and I love that. One left me smiling, one made me work for the romance, and one completely scrambled my emotions in the best (and sometimes most frustrating) way.
That's the beauty of reading… you NEVER know exactly what kind of journey you're about to go on.
The New Dairy Queen Blizzards Just Dropped—And Yeah, We Have Opinions 🍦
New Blizzard flavors have arrived, and book lovers everywhere suddenly have another reason to cancel their plans and stay in.
Makes me want another
Look, I'm not saying a Dairy Queen Blizzard release is a major life event.
But I'm also not not saying that.
Every time DQ drops new flavors, people suddenly have very strong opinions. Some of us order the same Blizzard every single visit because we don't like disappointment. Others see a new flavor and immediately need to know what it's about.
This time around Dairy Queen gave us three new options:
🍓 Strawberry Mango-Flavored Mochi Blizzard
🍪 Biscoff Cookie Blizzard
☕ Mexican-Style Hot Chocolate Made with Abuelita Blizzard
And after looking at them, I have thoughts.
Somehow, Dairy Queen and books aren't all that different. We all know what we like—and we're willing to defend it.
The Strawberry Mango Mochi Blizzard
This one is definitely for the adventurous crowd.
I already know some people are going to love it and some people are going to stare at the menu and think, "Mochi? In a Blizzard?"
The strawberry and mango combo sounds fresh and summery, and the mochi pieces add a chewy texture that isn't something you normally expect from ice cream.
Would I order it first?
Probably not.
But I respect what it's trying to do.
If you're the person who always tries the newest thing on the menu, this one's probably calling your name.

Biscoff has somehow managed to become one of those ingredients that makes almost everything better. Coffee? Better. Cheesecake? Better. Ice cream? Obviously better.
This is the flavor I expect to be the crowd favorite.
It's familiar enough that almost anyone would enjoy it, but different enough to feel like a treat. Plus, anything with that caramelized cookie flavor already has a head start.
This feels like the Blizzard you order when you want to be happy and not take any risks.
Honestly, that's a respectable life strategy.
Featuring a relaxed oversized fit, the cuffed sleeves and crew neckline give it a clean, structured look without sacrificing the comfort. A top you will reach for over and over again.
The Mexican-Style Hot Chocolate Made with Abuelita Blizzard
This one surprised me.
It feels less like a typical Blizzard flavor and more like something that belongs on a winter menu.
Chocolate is already a safe bet, but the Abuelita-inspired flavor gives it a richer, warmer feel than your average chocolate dessert.
It's the flavor I'd recommend to the person who always says they don't want anything too sweet.
You know the type.
They say they're "just getting a bite" and somehow end up eating half your Blizzard.

Listen, Biscoff was always going to win for me.
It's reliable. It's comforting. It has absolutely no business being as good as it is.
The Strawberry Mango Mochi Blizzard might end up being the sleeper hit, but Biscoff feels like the safest bet if you're only making one trip.
That said, the real winner isn't any particular flavor. Sometimes its not about the ice cream.
It's about getting out of the house on a random Tuesday. It's about sitting in a parking lot with your best friend. It's about grabbing a treat after finishing a book you couldn't put down.
Those little moments have a way of becoming the ones we remember.
So whether you're reaching for the Biscoff Cookie Blizzard, trying the Strawberry Mango Mochi, or giving the Abuelita Blizzard a chance, I hope you enjoy it with someone you love—or at least while reading a book that's impossible to put down.
